We are super excited to host you again at the 2nd annual Sunshine Smackdown! This page will have all the info you will need in regards with how to prepare and what to expect on competition day. Athlete Arrival - 8:00am

We would like athletes to arrive around 8:00am. Check-in at the check-in table and gather your goodie bag.  Every gym must have a tent this year! Due to an increased number of teams, we will not have the space inside for hanging out. Tents will be set up along the fence in the Sunshine shared parking lot (not along the building side). The Athletics side of the gym will be for warm-up only for heats on deck. Thank you for understanding!

Parking

Bedford Hills has plenty of parking. Please review this parking map and only park in the designated lots. Sunshine shares a parking lot with another business so we will not be parking in the shared lot. Half that lot is reserved for team tents. There will be plenty of signage and volunteers directing you when you arrive.

Heats

Event 1 will have 5 heats, and we will move to 4 heats for the remaining events. Upon arrival, check out the big poster to see what heat your team is in for each event.

Judges

BE NICE TO YOUR JUDGE! They are volunteering their time for you today. They know the standards and if a no-rep is called, accept it and move on. It happens to the best of us. We trust the fairness of all our judges.

Opening Remarks and workout review - 9:00am

Coach Nik will begin the opening remarks, workout and standards review, promptly at 9:00am. Please be in the gym and be ready to listen.

Event 1, Heat 1 - 9:20am

This is the most time consuming event and the ONLY event with 5 heats. We will need to move heats 1-5 through quickly, so please be ready to go when it's your turn.  The rest of the day will flow from here.

Can kids/pets come to cheer?

We love all the energy from the spectators, so yes, your kids are welcome. But unfortunately, due to space and safety, your furry friends are not. Children must be accompanied by a non-competing adult, and for everyone's safety, they are not allowed to be on any equipment. Thank you for understanding.

Smackdown presenting sponsor, Mark & Son Metal Products, will be hosting a pajama and book drive for children in need this holiday season. We will be collecting new pajamas and new books for kid of all ages. Please consider contributing to this amazing cause and help to keep local kids
